Post updated for v 2.4.2 on January 26th, 2010. I am selling my character as I'm not on much and will be playing on my alt Daisy Vinthyn. Any future changes to My POS will be under this character. Original Thread: http://www.eveonline.com/ingameboard.asp?a=topic&threadID=585203
--------------------------------------
In a fit of sheer boredom I wrote up a Visual Basic program to fit and calculate fuel requirements for POSes. As of this post its on v2.4.2 and has the following features:
* All standard and faction towers (with updated fuel requirements) as of Dominion
* All standard and faction fittings as of Dominion
* Downloading POS information including current fuel levels through the EVE API
* Saving / Loading of one or multiple towers to disk with its own file association
* Saving / Loading of a tower fitting so it can be applied to different towers
* Calculates fuel requirements for one or a infinite number of towers along with isk costs
* Calculates the m3 needed along with percentage of tower space available
* Online and Offline individual fittings to test fitments without removing/readding.
* Exporting of tower fittings as plain text, BBCode, or Excel.
* Full moon location lookup through a offline moon database to tie the CCP Moon ID to your towers actual moon location. Any moon location that cannot be retrieved will have the system name retrieved (for unanchored towers for example).
The program and its source code is available on the Cassandra's Light website:

Those that had ANY previous version (2.4.0 or older) should uninstall it using Add/Remove programs under the control panel before installing this new version. The only requirements to run this software are the Microsoft Dot Net v2.0 Framework (available free from Microsoft's site) and the Windows Installer 3.1 or higher. If you have XP or Vista and do your windows updates you should already have both. Any questions, comments, or problems can be posted here, evemailed to me in game, or emailed to Jonas(AT)CassandrasLight.com.

All the fitting are loaded in from the fittings.xml file in the programs directory. Open it up in Notepad and you can change, add, or remove any of the fittings until there is a update.

yeah it appears the site, which is hosted by GoDaddy, was hit by a iFrame virus that affects the html and what not. The database (which contains the site) shouldn't be affected....just have to wipe it clean and put the app back on. I should have a good backup of everything so just some time to wipe and reload.

Yup....this will work in the meantime until the site is back up. I can attest that it's a valid link.

Nig C,
If it is now possible to DL all the anchored structures at a Moon ID I will definitely take a look at doing so. Thanks for the heads up and code.

Too bad there isn't a mood id tag on the assets....would be a piece of cake to DL the structures with the tower info.
Gonna post in the technology forum, see if that is a possibility.

Probably...I'll see if I can figure out what changed.

Yeah, haven't been on much but I'll look this over and update it. Been looking for a excuse to start doing some programming in the new Visual Studio 2010 so I think this is my chance. The custom controls library has been update since my last release so that's a second reason.
Not sure on the error message though as I don't get that with the current version. I'll look stuff over anyway, see if there would be anything tripping up the fuel retrieval part and maybe try to feed back a more helpful error (unless thats the one being provided by CCP's API already).

FYI - control tower volume hasn't changed. In my program I have 27500 for small, 55000 for medium, and 110000 for standard. Just looked up a Amarr tower in game and it's the same. Am I missing something?
Also I just ran the program, used a director full use API, downloaded two towers, then downloaded fuel for both successfully. Saved the file with my two towers, closed out, went back in. opened the file, and downloaded fuel again without issues. So if you're still having problems reset your full use API (I've had this happen before). After resetting it wait 15 - 20 minutes and try using the new one.
I'm going to push out a update anyway even though there is no programming changes just because I've upgraded the development platform and the custom controls library....seems a little quicker for me.

oh...yeah if the material changed volume then that's a hard coded value, if its fuel required that could be changed in the xml.
